Welcome to another exciting half-term at Brighstone Preschool!

We’re thrilled to share that Ofsted has rated us ‘Good’ in every area—a huge thank you to our wonderful children, families, and staff for their support!

Spring Term 2: Monday 24th February 2025 – Friday 4th April 2025

Opening Hours are 7.30 am - 5.30 pm.



Welcome new parents and children to the setting this half term.


We are delighted to be able to share our Ofsted Inspection Outcome. 

Ofsted have rated Brighstone Preschool ‘Good’ in every area.

We would like to say a big thank you to our preschool children, staff, families and Directors for all the hard work and support over the last year .


Thank you for taking part and supporting Arlo ‘Wear what makes you happy’.

We raised  £30.00 as a preschool and £200 as a School Community! 


Our weekly visits to the library for children 3+ will continue (Alternate Tuesday and Thursdays). 

Our story of the week and song of the week will be: 

Week 1: The Selfish Crocodile and Row, Row your boat.

Week 2: Mr Wolfs Pancakes and Pat a cake, pat a cake

Week 3: The Short-Sighted Giraffe and Head Shoulders Knees and Toes

Week 4: Hurry up and Slow Down and The Wheels on the car

Week 5: Guess How much I love you and I love Mommy

Week 6: Easter and a Spring Chicken


We will be continuing to wear slipper inside (please provide slippers that can stay in the setting)

and waterproof suits and wellies outside when appropriate. 

We will be outside ‘Whatever the weather.’

APRIL HOLIDAY CLUB

at Brighstone Preschool



Open to children 9 months – 11 years.

Week 1 7th-11th April 2025

Week 2 14th-17th April 2025

Closed 18th/ 21st April 2025

Bookings to be made by Friday 21st March 2025.

’Mother’s Day’

 

We will be running a Mother’s Day ‘shop’ for a donation:

£1, £2, £5 gift.

From the 24th to the 28th of March your child will be given the opportunity

to choose a gift to the value of your donation and wrap it

ready to give to someone who shares the Mother’s Day experience with them.

Communication is key.

 

Any WOW moments, concerns or questions please share these with a member of staff or your child’s Key worker.

Dropping off and collecting your child.

 

Please make sure that there is only 1 adult in the Foyer collecting or dropping off at any one time. Please respect other parents' space.

Morning Snack: 9.30am -10.30am

Please provide a healthy snack, we recommend a piece of fruit, yoghurt or cheese.

 

No Water Bottles in the setting please, we use fresh, cool water from a fountain with cups provided.

 

School Dinners are available from Chartwells caterers £3.56 per meal. Please book before 9.00 am.

This will increase from April 1st.

 

Pack Lunches: Please provide your child with a named lunch box.

May we politely remind you to be mindful of the contents when sending lunch boxes into preschool.

Ask us for ideas on healthy lunchbox ideas.

To keep preschool as illness free as possible:

We ask that if your child is unwell or if you have administered calpol or ibuprofen. DO NOT SEND THEM IN.


The current legislation is that children should be kept away from the setting with Diarrhoea or Vomiting for 48 hours after the last bout.

We accept government funding and payment through tax free childcare. Code required is: Niton Preschool.

 

9 months -1 year £7.50 an hour

1 year- 2 years £6.75 an hour

2- 3 years £6.50 an hour

3- school age £6.00


Plus £5.00 sustainability charge every week.

Government Funding: Make sure you confirm your funding every 3 months when requested.

Wrap around care

Breakfast Club for school age children: 7.30-8.25 am £6.00

Afterschool Club for school age children: 3.00- 5.30pm £6.00 an hour + 25p Snack

Due to running costs our service prices will be increasing starting from 22nd April 2025.

9 months -2 year £9.50 an hour

2- 3 years £8.00 an hour

3- school age £7.50
